WELCOME TO 2016 - 2017 FALL SEMESTER - NSS PRESIDENT MESSAGE TO NIGERIAN STUDENTS IN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY

The Nigerian Students Society welcomes all fresh and returning students to the Eastern Mediterranean University. We hope everyone has a good semester as we represent our country and make it proud with good results.

Never forget that success earned by hard work is more profitable and appreciative, so I urge you to do all your best in taking academic responsibilities very seriously. I also encourage you to have a blend of extra-curriculum, by fully participating in NSS Events so as to holistically build you to match the current global demands.

For those still having problems with Registration, we sincerely pray for God's provision and as a Society we will keep persuading and agitating for the University Management to make things easier for our fellow Compatriots but we are optimistic that the state we are in now is only but temporal, there is light at the end of the tunnel and we assured our Students that by God's grace, we shall all be registered.

We have exciting events planned to make the first quota of this semester lighter and make your international study experience easier and amazing. My earnest request is for your maximum participation in organizing and attending these events organized for you.

I and my Cabinet members has enjoyed your strongest support so far during our administration and as we plan to roundup, we solicit your maximum support so we can serve you better for the next one month.

Do not hesitate to contact any of the NSS Officials for any form of assistance and do not withhold any of your suggestions or grievances, we always ready to listen and improve.

Some of the activities outlined for you includes;

1.       Nigerian Independence Celebration (1^st October, 2016)  (MAGUA 2016)

• Rally (12:30PM) Takeoff point is EMU Main Gate (NO AFRICAN TIME)
• Grand Celebration (5PM) @ EMU Cultural Center

Note: T-Shirts will be given on the basis of first come first served.

2.       NSS CONGRESS (Friday 7^th October, 2016), Date will be announced soon.

3.       NSS STREET TAKEOVER (D – Official Welcome Back Social Night) 8^th October, 2016 @ EMU Ataturk (CL) Square.

4. NIGERIAN WEEK

• Games (12^th – 17^th October, 2016) @ EMU Sports Complex and Stadium
• Talent Show (13^th October, 2016) @ EMU Cultural Center
• Educational Seminar (18^th October, 2016) @ EMU Red Hall CL
• NIGERIAN NIGHT (Grand Finale) Wednesday 19^th October, 2016 @ EMU Cultural Center
