NSS held Joint Meeting with other Nigerian Students Association Leaders in EMU

To organize a successful and memorable Nigerian Week and further build strong relationship among Nigerian Students in EMU, today, 30th August, 2016, the leadership of the Nigerian Students Society (NSS) EMU, which is the mother body of all other Nigerian Students Associations in EMU held a joint meeting at EMU's Activity Center with all daughter associations to discuss the way forward in uniting the interest of all Nigerian Students in EMU and also to organized a befitting Nigerian Week.

Representing the NSS Leadership, the Acting President, Comrade Ajiboro Temitope presented the agenda by first acknowledging the efforts put so far by the leadership of these associations in organizing successful events for their members, Comrade Ajiboro added that such activities will further improve the understnading and unity among members.


He went further to acknowledge the need for all daughter associations of the NSS to have official endorsement from the society in other to gain full support and sponsorship from the society and to have them in the NSS official documentation for future reasons and in any case of unforeseen circumstances due to changes in leadership at various levels.

More so, the Acting President stated the need to harmonize the interest of all Nigerian Associations in EMU to enable them work collectively to the peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians in EMU and its environ to improve the unity and growth among Nigerians and further make us better patriotic Citizens of our dear Nation.


The meeting entertained positive responses from all attendees and all daughter associations pledged their maximum support towards the upcoming event (NIGERIAN WEEK 2016) and promised to make it memorable by contributing cultural performances and other forms of organization.

Also discussed in the meeting were ways to carry all students along and providing social/welfare activities/packages for all members by connecting to their state governments and National Bodies.

The Acting President concluded the meeting by saying; if these meetings are held regularly, we will be looking forward to having a more unified Nigeria by using our cultural diversity as strength.
