The senate president of the NSS is the highest officer in the Legislative Organ of the NSS, and ranks second in the NSS presidential line of succession.
Senator Tenado Komonibo is the current Senate president of the NSS. He assumed office on August 24, 2020.
Roles of the Senate president
a) The president shall preside over and direct the proceedings of the
senate without fear or favor
b) He shall have no voting rights in the senate meetings except in
the event of a tie.
c) He shall on behalf of the Senate ensure that all committees
formed submits their reports on or before the stipulated time
