Why the High Standard of ASGA 2016 EMU NOMINATION QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

ASGA 2016 EMU Internal Organizing Committee Chaired by Ugochukwu Favour Udenyi "Boffy" today 8th April, announced the minimum requirements inorder to be qualified for this year's African Students Grand Award Nomination, which  states "Since ASGA is an annual Award, nominees MUST be registered as students of EMU for at least one semester between 2015 FALL Semester and 2016 SPRING Semester". This decision was jointly adopted by the 2016 Organizers to celebrate students that have been performing excellently in combining academics and extra-curricular Activities, which is the primary aim of coming to North Cyprus.

ASGA which is a the biggest African Award in North Cyprus was initiated by the former Nigerian Students Society President, Temitope Shoniyi in 2011. The 2016  ASGA is tagged "Celebrating Africa's Diversity" this means that it will be centered on celebrating the cultural diversity of Africa. So far, over 8 African Countries are involved in the organisation of the 2016 edition, namely;

  • Algeria
  • Eritrea
  • Bostwana
  • Zimbabwe
  • Nigeria
  • Tunisia
  • Egypt
  • Cameroon
  • Libya
and other african Countries who will be joining as preparations intensifies.
