The Nigerian Students Society welcomes all fresh and returning students to the Eastern Mediterranean University. We hope everyone has a good semester as we represent our country and make it proud with good results.

The Nigerian Students Society (NSS) EMU Chapter, is a body fully recognized by Eastern Mediterranean University as the sole representative body of Nigerian Students in the University. The primary function of this body is to serve as a direct link between all Nigerian students and the school. This society is also responsible, within it limitations, for the general welfare and peaceful coexistence amongst all Nigerian Students.

Nigerian Students are advised to call the NSS regarding issues to which we can be of assistance and for amicable settlement of student's related disputes. The NSS in turn will function to ensure that the best interest of Nigerians in EMU is fully represented.

The NSS is also responsible for organizing events ranging from educational (Tutorials, Seminars, Discussions, etc), social, recreational, sporting and others forms of welfare programs (Book Bank, Food Basket and NSS Foundation)

NOTE: That all services provided by the Society are for all Students and100% free

ACCOMMODATION

Upon arrival, the university provides two (2) days free accommodation for you, within this two (2) days, students are allowed to decide either to stay in the dormitory or use the option of staying off-campus, our advice to you is for you to stay on campus at least for your 1st semester, this will enable you adjust and integrate with the university system faster and easier.

But if you wish to stay off-campus, its better you do so through the students service office located at Registrar's office or through the guidance of an authorized NSS Official.

TRANSPORTATION

The University provides free campus ring bus service that runs within the school and Famagusta city. To use this bus service, visit www.emu.edu.tr/en  menu   services  transportation for the bus schedule.

Alternatively, 10 Turkish Lira is charged for Taxi within Famagusta

GROCERY SHOPS

Grocery shops are found in all dormitories

CURRENCY USE

The general currency used in North Cyprus is the Turkish Lira
