OFFICIAL: Pharmacists Council of Nigeria Registrar Leads delegation to EMU Faculty of Pharmacy for accreditation exercise

Information reaching us from the Eastern Mediterranean University Vice Rector International Affairs Office and the Nigerian Association of Pharmacy Students EMU (NAPS-EMU) has confirmed that the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria which is a Federal Government  Agency established by Act 91 of 1992 (now Act CAP 17 LFN 2004) and charged with responsibility of regulating and controlling the education, training and practice of pharmacy in all aspects and ramifications, including the regulation of Pharmacy Technicians and Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors, in Nigeria, has concluded all arrangements to visit the Eastern Mediterranean University Faculty of Pharmacy to conduct accreditation exercise in accordance with basic requirements contained in the Benchmark and Minimum Academic Standard (BMS) sent to the faculty through NAPS.

The Council will embark on a 5 days working visit from 10th to 14th July, 2016. The accreditation team will be led by the number one Pharmacist in Nigeria, Pharm  NAE Mohammed, FPSN, FNIM who is the Registrar of the Council. Others in the team includes, Dean School of Pharmacy, University of Maiduguri and  representives from the Fedral Ministry of Health Abuja.
